Group Class Policies

Please make sure you read our policies before registering to one of our world language group classes.

Group Class Sessions

      Group classes are online.

●      The class sessions are 8 weeks long from Labor Day to June. Summer sessions are 3 to 5 week long.

●      Class size is 2 to 10 students.

●      Adult classes are 1h30 hours long a week.

●      Children and Teenagers’ classes are 1 hour long a week.

Intensive Program Packages

● Before Work – Intensive

● Boot Camp

3 sessions (an hour and a half each session) a week

  • 4-week (18 hours) package

  • 8-week (32 hours) package

  • 12-week (54 hours) package

 Class size is 2 to 5 students.

● Let’s Go!

2 sessions (an hour and a half each session) a week

  •  4-week (12hours) package

  • 8-week (24 hours) package

  • 12-week (36 hours) package

 Class size is 2 to 5 students.

Enrollment and Tuition

●      Level Assessment: $30 - It includes a 15-minute assessment test (except for beginner’s class).

●      Books: about $50 - $60 for a complete level (a complete level includes 5 levels for a combined 24- 26 weeks of learning).

●      Sessions are ongoing. Students may join at any time as long as proficiency levels meet the class level.

●      Payments will be prorated for classes missed upon enrollment.

●      Payment must be made in full before the beginning of the session: an installment payment plan can be offered upon request.

●      Payments can be made with a credit or debit card or with PayPal directly on the website. For cash, Zelle or check (there is a $25 fee for returned checks), please contact Lingo Mundo Academy.

Refunds and Credits Policy

●      Students who cancel earlier than one week prior to the class session start date are entitled to a 90% refund of tuition paid.

●      Students who cancel later than one week prior to the class start date are entitled to a 80% credit towards future classes.

All requests for refunds and credits must be received in writing by the times listed above.

●      No credits or refunds will be provided for cancellations after the first class.

●      No refunds or credits are provided for absences.

●      No refunds or credits on books and materials.

Make-up for Missed Classes

●      Students enrolled in classes (Group Class or Intensive Program) are entitled to up to 3 make-up private lessons at a discounted rate (private tuition rate with a 15% discount).

●      Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled once finalized; no refunds are given for canceled make-up lessons.

●      In the event of a class cancellation for any unexpected circumstances, Lingo Mundo Academy will schedule a make-up class. No alternative make-up dates will be offered for students who are unable to attend the make-up session.

Discounts

Discounts are offered for:

●      Staff and Academics.

●      Registering 2 or more family members (5% discount for the second and third member registered, 10% for the fourth and consecutive family members).

●      Auto renew: 5% discount.

●      Early bird discounts will be communicated on the web site.

The instructors are native speakers of the target language or are fluent to native-speaker level.

Lingo Mundo Academy will do its best to keep the same instructor for each class and for each session. However, it may need, from time to time, to substitute a tutor to an equally qualified instructor.

Lingo Mundo Academy does not guarantee that students will pass any test or exam.

Private Lessons and Special Programs Policies

Please make sure you read the below policies that apply when you purchase one of our Packages for Private Lessons or Special programs.

Private Lesson Packages

  • Lessons are purchased in packages of 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours.

  • Each lesson can be 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours or more.

Private lesson packages expire as following:

Tuition Fees

  • There is no registration fee for the Private Lesson Packages.

  • Private Lessons are offered online.

  • A full payment must be made 48 hours before the beginning of the lessons.

  • Payments can be made with a credit or debit card, or PayPal directly on the website. Please contact Lingo Mundo Academy for payment by bank transfer, check (there is a $25 fee for returned checks), cash or Zelle.

  • Tuition fees once paid are not refundable.

Additional Discounts Private Lessons

●       Bring a friend: 20% discount on the Package cost for all.

The party of friends buys the same package and attends the same sessions.

●       Auto renew: 5% discount.

●       For a party greater than 2 students, please contact Lingo Mundo Academy.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • The student may cancel or reschedule their lesson 24 hours maximum before class through the automated reminder they receive. Students may also send an Email or call Lingo Mundo Academy.

  • No voicemails will be accepted as cancellation.

    If a proper notice is not received, the lesson will be charged.

  • A lesson can only be canceled and rescheduled once.

  • Students can reschedule a maximum of:

    • 1 hour from the 6 lessons package,

    • 2 hours of the 12-hour package,

    • 4 hours of the 24-hour package

    • or 8 hours of the 48-hour package

Staff and Academics

  • The instructors are native speakers of the target language or are fluent to a native-speaker level.

  • Lingo Mundo Academy will do its best to keep the same instructor for each class and each session. However, from time to time, it may need to substitute a tutor to an equally qualified instructor.

Special Programs Packages

The Special Programs Packages are A La Carte.

Students choose which Program they wish to attend (they may attend both), whenever they wish to attend (within the expiration limits set below):

  • Lunch & Learn American English

  • Lunch & Learn French

  • Breakfast Ts (Tuesdays – Thursdays)

 

  • 1 session (1h00) – 1h00 package

  • 5 sessions (1h00 each) – 5h00 package

  • 10 sessions (1h00 each) – 10 hours package

  • 20 sessions (1h00 each) – 20 hours package

 

Special Programs packages expire as follow:

Note:

In case of cancelation, Lingo Mundo Academy must be informed at least 24 hours in advance.

Easy Speak Policies

Please make sure you read our policies before purchasing Easy Speak.

Easy Speak Corporate Programs

  • Get and Go! Get, Go and Repeat! are self-service English and French learning materials to be downloaded from the Lingo Mundo Academy portal.

  • Get and Go! is a written training material delivered in the form of a Power Point Presentation. The professional skill-focused areas offered are aiming at enhancing English and/or French proficiencies in a specific field of activities.

  • The Get and Go! training packages are available on the Lingo Mundo Academy portal under the Corporate Programs, Easy Speak.

  • Get, Go and repeat! is a written training material (Power Point or Pdf formats) supported by an audio (including subtitles).

    The professional skill-focused areas offered are aiming at enhancing English and/or French (written, listening comprehension and speaking) proficiency in a specific field of activities.

  • The Get, Go and Repeat! training packages are available on the Lingo Mundo Academy portal under the Easy Speak section of the Corporate Programs.

Cost and Payment

  • The costs for each package are available on the Lingo Mundo Academy website, Corporate Programs and Easy Speak.

  • Payments can be made directly on the portal with a debit or credit card. Contact Lingo Mundo Academy for other payment methods.

Terms of purchase Policy

  • The package(s) procured is downloadable and restricted to the IP address it was purchased for.

  • The Get, Go and Repeat! modules are downloadable in a secondary device (tablet or cellular phone).

  • Any reproduction (partial or complete, under any format), use beyond the limits set, distribution (under any format and on any existing support) of any of the material purchased is strictly prohibited. The material offered is Lingo Mundo Academy’s property.

  • The package, once procured, is not refundable and not transferrable.

  • The package is available for 12 (twelve) months from the purchase. The package may be renewed for the same duration with a 10% discount.

Notes

Discounts are offered for repeated and long-term partnerships.

Code of Conduct

Policy brief & purpose

Our Code of Conduct outlines our expectations regarding any individual’s behavior towards colleagues, customers and the overall organization while representing the Company.

We promote freedom of expression and open communication. But we expect all individuals representing the Company to follow our Code of Conduct. They should avoid offending, participating in serious disputes and disrupting our workplace. We also expect them to foster a well-organized, respectful and collaborative environment.

Scope

This policy applies to all individuals representing the Company regardless of employment agreement or rank.

Policy elements

Any individual representing the Company is bound by their contract to follow our Code of Conduct while performing their duties. We outline the components of our Code of Conduct below:

Compliance with law

All employees must protect our Company’s legality. They should comply with all environmental, safety and fair dealing laws. We expect any individual representing the Company to be ethical and responsible when dealing with our Company’s finances, products, partnerships and public image.

Respect in the workplace

All individuals representing the Company should respect their colleagues. We won’t allow any kind of discriminatory behavior, harassment or victimization. Each individual representing the Company should conform with our equal opportunity policy in all aspects of their work, from recruitment and performance evaluation to interpersonal relations. 

Protection of Company Property

All individuals representing the Company should treat our Company’s property, whether material or intangible, with respect and care.

Any individual representing the Company (e.g. Employees, Consultants …)

●       Shouldn’t misuse company equipment or use it frivolously.

●       Should respect all kinds of incorporeal property. This includes trademarks, copyright and other property (information, reports etc.). Any individual representing the Company should use them only to complete their job duties for the Company.

●       Any individual representing the Company should protect the Company facilities and other material property (e.g. company cars) from damage and vandalism, whenever possible.

Professionalism

All individual representing the Company must show integrity and professionalism in the workplace either physical or virtual.

Personal appearance

All employees must follow our dress code and personal appearance guidelines.

Corruption

We discourage any individual representing the Company from accepting gifts from clients or partners. We prohibit briberies for the benefit of any external or internal party.

Job duties and authority

All individuals representing the Company should fulfill their job duties with integrity and respect toward their colleagues, customers, stakeholders and the community. Likewise, we expect team members to complete their duties with skill and in a timely manner.

We encourage mentoring throughout our company.

Conflict of interest

We expect employees to avoid any personal, financial or other interests that might hinder their capability or willingness to perform their job duties. Any potential Conflict of Interest shall be reported prior to performing any undertaking.

Collaboration

Any individual representing the Company should be friendly and collaborative. They should try not to disrupt the workplace or present obstacles to their colleagues’ work.

Communication

All individuals representing the Company must be open for communication with their colleagues, or team members.

Policies

All individuals representing the Company should read and follow our Company policies.

Disciplinary actions

Our company may have to take disciplinary action against any individual representing the Company who repeatedly or intentionally fail to follow our code of conduct. Disciplinary actions will vary depending on the violation.

Possible consequences include:

●       Demotion.

●       Reprimand.

●       Suspension or termination for more serious offenses.

●       Detraction of benefits for a definite or indefinite time.

●       We may take legal action in cases of corruption, theft, embezzlement or other unlawful behavior.
